:cries: My scanner has butchered this. It has completely ruined all the tones. It's a lot smoother in real life, trust me!

The hair has more detail in reality, and the shading on the face isn't so blotchy and I spent a lot of time making the skin textured (although the scanner doesn't show that).

It's from a beautiful photo by Michael Tarasov that I found at [link]. The original had strands of hair across the cheek and nose but I decided not to include them.

I was really happy with this when I began but now I don't really like it at all. But I'll probably warm up to it as time goes by.

Beautiful pencil work, this must have taken a long time. What did you use to create the highlights? It's really effective, almost gives it a bit of a surreal look.
